MA: Work In Progress

Posted by on Dec 12, 2016 in MA, UCA Rochester | No Comments

Learning to approach photography as an expanded visual medium is one of the most fundamentally important elements to studying on the MA in Photography at UCA Rochester. The synthesis of ideas and concepts precedes and informs the visual practice in ways that offer a greater profundity to the resultant bodies of work and aligns them to be in a position to continue to make real contributions to their field.

Representation, perspective, perception of self, time, space, pain, failure and the very nature of images themselves have all been picked apart and explored by the exhibiting students in the 2016 Work in Progress show. Unfinished, unrefined and unapologetic, presented here is a cultural cross-section of work that will adapt, grow and change along with the students that are creating them.
